Q1.What is BER?

A1. A Building Energy Rating is an energy label that gives an indication of the energy required to run an individual building. A BER assessor will evaluate the insulation levels, heating system and building elements to determine the overall performance.

Q2. How can you access and apply for the grant?

A2. The insulation grants are part of a national scheme so therefore all homeowners in houses built before 2006 can apply. It’s a very easy process. You can apply online at www.Seai.ie where you can also print off the application form.

Q3.How long does it take to install external wall insulation?

A3. Depending on weather conditions and the size of the property, Warm Nation Insulation can have your house finished between 7 - 10 working days.

Q4.How long does the Attic insulation process take?

A4. The average attic can be completed in less than 2 hours.

Q5.What depth of insulation will I need?

A5. Depending on the make-up of the wall construction our team will determine the correct insulation type and depth to meet current building regulations.
